Calling all who love The Ohio State University and Buckeye Football!!! Join us for a tailgate party you won't want to miss! We will be showing incoming freshmen from the Philly area how great OSU is by hosting a BBQ/picnic in the park before they move into the dorms! The freshmen can all come and get to know one another before heading out to Columbus, and the alumni and friends of OSU in the area can instill in these new students our passion for Ohio State! There will be hot dogs and hamburgers, side dishes, desserts, Buckeye music, Buckeye gifts for the freshmen, and lots and lots of Buckeye fun!! The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members, but you can pay your membership dues that day to receive the discounted admission rate. Freshmen get in for free! Location: Fairmount Park: Belmont Plateau Picnic Area #5THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL ALUMNI AND FRIENDS OF THE PHILLY BUCKEYES, NOT JUST STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. We would love to have a great representation of alumni from various years there to share their memories and advice for the incoming students. Directions to the location:
Take I-76 to the Montgomery Rd. Exit and go WEST (away from West River Drive). Then turn Right at the road that says Belmont Plateau (the road is Belmont Mansion Dr.) and then turn Right into the parking lot area and look for the OSU banners!! (Picnic area #5 is reportedly near the restrooms...so look for the restrooms...)
If you pass Belmont Mansion Drive and get to the light at Belmont Ave., then turn Right onto Belmont Dr. At the 2nd light, make a right onto Belmont Mansion. Pass the Underground Railroad Museum and the parking lot will be on your left right before Army Drive. Turn left into the parking lot and look for Picnic Area #5.
